Our chillers screw compressor Air-cooled chillers can reduce your total cost of ownership because they are specifically designed for reduced lifecycle costs and increased reliability through design simplicity. Our screw compressor technology (Helirotor™) is based on direct drive, low speed (3.600 rpm), and only two rotating parts, for high reliability and efficiency. Optimized compressor part profiles are designed specifically for chilled water applications to optimize efficiency at both full and partial loads. Our Adaptive Control™ microprocessor-based adaptive control system offers increased reliability through a proactive control strategy, safety features with simple diagnostics, and easy interfacing with Trane Tracer® building automation and energy management systems using a single twisted pair of wires. Trane also offers complete, factory-assembled liquid chillers with scroll compressors, offering ease of installation, wiring, and microprocessor-based controllers for maximum operational efficiency.
